Halloween party at Parto’s center

COITSVILLE

Parto’s Golf Center and Pumpkin Patch will have its annual Halloween party for children and adults from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. The free event will include face painting, pumpkin decorating, games and treats. Participants can wear costumes. Parto’s is at 2231 Coitsville-Hubbard Road (Route 616). ‘The Vampire Ball’ at Packard museum

The National Packard Museum will present “The Vampire Ball,” a murder-mystery musical, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The production, performed by Random Acts Troupe of Toledo, features audience participation, including sing-alongs and dance-alongs. Audience members will be challenged to solve the mystery.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the museum’s Legacy Gallery. The performance will be in the Great Hall Gallery. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.

Tuba-euphonium ensemble concert

Sharon, Pa.

Penn State Shenango will host tubist Velvet Brown, professor of tuba and euphonium at Penn State University Park campus, along with her euphonium and tuba ensemble, at 7:30 p.m. Friday as part of its Shenango presents series. The concert will be in the campus auditorium on Shenango Avenue, downtown.

The ensemble will feature pianist Christopher Guzman, assistant professor of piano at Penn State University Park. A world premiere of “... and every man shall see his maker ...,” composed by Ferruccio Germani, instructor of music at Penn State Shenango, will be part of the program.

A reception will follow the concert in the Lecture Hall Art Gallery, where an exhibit of sculptures and artwork by Ed Hallahan, instructor of art at Penn State Shenango, will be on display.

The concert and reception are free and open to the public.
