Board to offer flu shots

The Mahoning County District Board of Health will administer flu shots and the nasal-spray flu vaccines today and Thursday.

The cost for the vaccines is $25 for adults and $14.65 for children. High-dose flu shots also are available for people 65 and older. No appointment is necessary, and most private insurances can be billed.

People on traditional Medicare must bring their Medicare card so the cost of the shot can be billed. People on Medicaid need to bring their Medicaid card.

Health-board personnel will administer flu vaccines from 9 to 11 a.m. today at the Berlin Township Building, 15801 Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center, and from noon to 2 p.m. at the Milton Township Volunteer Fire Station, 15980 Milton Ave., Lake Milton.

On Thursday, flu vaccines will be administered from 9 a.m. to noon at the Green Township Administration Building, 12200 Lisbon Road.
