Warren murder suspect nabbed by marshals in Tallmadge

WARREN

The U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitives Task Force arrested David Martin, 28, of Warren in Tallmadge this morning in the Sept. 27 murder of Jeremy Cole, 21.

An arrest warrant charging Martin with murder was issued Oct. 2. Martin has been listed in the U.S. Marshal’s Top 5 most wanted list for two weeks.

Bill Bolden with the U.S. Marshal’s Service said Martin was apprehended at an apartment in the 1500 block of Brittain Road belonging to someone Martin knows.

Martin was brought back to Warren at around 11 a.m., questioned by Warren police and then taken to the Trumbull County jail, where he awaits an arraignment hearing Wednesday morning in Warren Municipal Court.

Martin, of Oak Circle Southwest, has no previous court cases in Warren Municipal Court or the common pleas courts in Mahoning or Trumbull counties.

Police said Cole, of Oak Street Southwest, was found shot at his house, where he lived with a woman.

The woman also was hit by a gunshot to the hand and was found in the road on Oak Circle.
