NEW YORK

Barbara Walters says she will interview Lindsay Lohan next month for ABC’s “20/20” newsmagazine.

Walters announced on Monday’s edition of her talk show, “The View,” that the interview will air Nov. 16. It paves the way for Lohan’s would-be comeback project, “Liz & Dick,” which premieres next month.

The Lifetime biopic stars the 26-year-old actress as screen diva Elizabeth Taylor. It spotlights Taylor’s quarter-century love affair with celebrated leading man Richard Burton, whom she married and divorced twice.

Grant Bowler, whose credits include the TV series “True Blood” and “Lost,” plays Burton.

Musician killed while helping co-worker

MEMPHIS, Tenn.

Police say a Memphis musician who played with Jerry Lee Lewis was trying to help a fellow security guard when he was killed in a shootout.

Memphis police say B.B. Cunningham, 70, died Sunday. He was working as a security guard at an apartment complex when he was shot.

Police said a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man had fired shots at another security guard when Cunningham responded.

Cunningham chased them into another apartment complex. When the second guard arrived, he found Cunningham and the 16-year-old fatally shot in a courtyard.

Police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph says the 22-year-old man, who had fled the scene, has been charged with first-degree murder for reportedly shooting Cunningham.

Cunningham had a 1967 hit, “Let it All Hang Out,” with his band the Hombres.
