Warren police investigating shots fired at officer


WARREN — Police continue to investigate an incident at just after midnight Saturday in which a Warren patrolman saw a gun being fired in his direction while on patrol.

Police say they have leads and are continuing to investigate the incident, which took place while the patrolman was in his car on Fourth Street Southwest near Highland Avenue.

The officer saw someone firing several shots from a “long gun,” police said. They conducted a thorough search just afterward but did not locate the suspect.
