A 0.25-percent sales tax renewal to fund WRTA operations.

Sales-tax revenue collected: $4.2 million in 2009, $6.9 million in 2010 and $7.5 million in 2011.

2012 budget: $10.7 million

Sales-tax revenue makes up about 70 percent of WRTA’s annual budget and the remaining 30 percent is generated from fare-box revenues and federal grants.
