Champion S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 445 Mahoning Ave., has planned the following: Monday, Angelo Lucarelli will give a seminar on changes in Medicare at 11 a.m.; Tuesday, exercise at 12:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Oktoberfest includes yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and bingo at 12:30. Thursday, exercise at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jessica Wilson will attend 11:15 a.m. luncheon and speak on medical alert systems. Lunch is $3. Monday breakfasts cost $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers; lunches Tuesday through Friday cost $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers.

Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and knitting and crocheting at 10; Tuesday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., yoga ($3 for members, $5 for nonmembers) at 10:15, nutrition/healthy living at 10:30, ladies card club at noon and computer tutoring 2 to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, health seminar at 9 a.m., morning stretch class at 9:30, computer class at 10, health screenings 10 to noon and yoga 3 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m. and yoga 10:15 to 11:15; Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., tai chi at noon ($5) and computer tutoring 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday: coffee bar, 8:30 to 11 a.m.; fitness rooms and computer cafe, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and adult basketball and cornhole, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wii gaming system, air hockey and pingpong also are available. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center is offering free beginning computer course for those 60 and over. The classes will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, November 5, 7 and 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. It will cover basic computer and basic Internet use. The program is offered through the State of Ohio “Connect Ohio” Program and is limited to eight students. Preregistration is required. Call the center at 330-544-3676 or stop in at 14 E. State Street. The course will be taught at the computer lab in the basement of the McKinley House. There is ample parking in back.
