GIRARD

A Hubbard resident accused of running over a Pennsylvania man with a vehicle was bound over to a Trumbull County Common Pleas Court grand jury, after a preliminary hearing in municipal court Friday.

Francis M. Fasline, 21, of Wrenfield Drive in Hubbard, faces one count of felonious assault after he purportedly ran over James Cappers, 29, of Sharpsville, Pa., outside Michael’s Bar & Grill in Hubbard on Sept. 28.

During the preliminary hearing, Cappers, who had to use crutches due to his injuries from the incident, testified that Fasline was the person who drove the vehicle that ran over him. He also said Shane A. Pagnatta, 23, of Garden Avenue, in Hubbard, was in the vehicle at the time.

Pagnatta is facing one count of obstruction of justice. He is not in custody and his pretrial hearing is scheduled for Nov. 28.

Fasline is being held without bond in Trumbull County Jail. He is facing up to eight years in prison if convicted.
