Girard (11-11, 8-2 ACC National) rallied from a 2-0 deficit as Hayley Spalla had 58 assists, Callie Jay had 18 kills and four aces, and Taylor Bell had nine points and eight digs. LaBrae (12-10, 6-4) was paced by Somer McCoy with nine kills and three aces, Ashley Gregory with 31 digs and Ashlee Stubbs with 11 serving points. JVs: LaBrae 2-0.

NEWTON FALLS

Liberty improved to 17-4 with the five-game victory. Jenna Sewell had 14 kills, 20 digs and five blocks for the Leopards, while Mariah Willis had 30 assists, Jessica Charles had 15 digs and McKenzie Syanley had 15 kills. Leah Leshnack led Liberty with 16 points, including three aces. Newton Falls (11-9, 5-5 AAC National) was led by Tori Workman with 24 digs, nine serving points, four aces and five kills. Olivia Test had 19 kills, 12 digs, seven points, three aces and two blocks in Heartland’s victory. Test, a senior, has 1,189 career kills. Madison Pennington had 10 points, five digs, three aces, two blocks and a kill. Kristen Osborn (10 kills, nine digs, six points, four aces and a block) and Rebecca Soliday (21 assists, 17 points, 11 digs, five aces and a kill) also contributed to the Lions’ victory.
