Fitch (15-0) reeled off four unanswered goals after Boardman took the lead 15 minutes into the game. Keanu Shelton had two goals and an assist for the Falcons, Ben Conley and Nate Bowlen each scored a goal and Ken Kilpatrick and Alex Smith each added an assists. JVs: Fitch 1, Boardman 1.

POLAND

Steve Bissell scored three goals and Matthew Slaven had two to pace the Bulldogs. Anthony Sabula, Matthew Trevis, Adrian Vitus, Cameron McCreery and Matthew Hollsinger added single goals. Troy Bole (one save) and Bryan Montgomery (two saves) combined for the shutout in goal.

HUBBARD

Conner Syersak and Zach Fortunato both had a goal and an assist and David Krok (three saves, including a penalty kick) and Jacob Shaffer (two saves) combined for the shutout for the Eagles. Single goals were scored by Ben Rubinic, Kyle Bolen, Nic Curl, Andrew O’Dell and John Torok. Nate Tirabassi had two assists and Nick Battaglia had one. Victoria Serrano had seven saves in goal for Liberty.

YOUNGSTOWN

Jessica McGeary made nine saves for the Irish and Angela Bowell scored the game’s only goal on an assist from Natalie Parks. Izabella Armstrong made 15 saves in goal for Badger.

WARREN

Mora Lucero assited on three goals and Natalie Hoso and Ellie Cole scored two apiece for the Eagles (8-5-1). Nina Macali and Nicole Rodomsky also scored for JFK and Cole, Alenna Merlo and Allison Mintus recorded assists. Calli Kowach had five saves in goal and Elizabeth Kellar three saves for Kennedy. Alissa Abraham tallied the Tigers’ lone goal.

Jackson 2, Boardman 0

MASSILLON

Morgan Patterson scored on a free kick with 9:28 to play in the second half and Abby Gindlesberger scored on a corner kick with 1:05 to play as Jackson clinched the Federal League title. Boardman’s Kristen Huck made six saves. The Spartans (7-7-1) host Hubbard on Saturday. JVs: Boardman, 3-2.
