Austintown Middle School PTA members honored the school’s teachers with a lunch Sept. 28 to show their appreciation.
“Every year, we have a lunch for the teachers. It’s basically our teacher appreciation and they really enjoy having us provide everything. It makes me feel good they appreciate this. We try to do as much as we can anytime that we can and give them something to remember. We like to make this a big event and go above and beyond just a regular lunch. They’ll continue to thank us throughout the rest of the year for this. The teachers do so much for us and this is just a way for us to give back. We realize that they work hard every day and some work extra like on weekends and evenings,” said PTA Vice President Deb Fuller.
The lunch included a variety of food and desserts to choose from, including chocolate cake, cookies and more. Teachers were grateful for the gesture and were pleased with the event.
“The Austintown PTA is wonderful here. They do an excellent job helping the teachers out throughput the year,” said Ron Johnson.
