Niles BOE appoints Danso interim superintendent

Niles Board of Education has appointed Frank Danso its interim superintendent for the remainder of the school year.

Danso will replace Mark Robinson, who stunned the board with his surprise resignation last week.

Danso, 60, of Cortland, retired as Southington schools superintendent last July. He has been an educator for 38 years, having also held positions in the Trumbull County school districts of Joseph Badger and Lakeview.

According to the board resolution, Danso will be paid $375 per diem and will be interim superintendent for the balance of the school year ending July 31, 2013. His first day on the job will be next Monday.
