Documentary filmmaker to discuss her work at Unitarian
YOUNGSTOWN
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Youngstown, 1105 Elm St., is bringing Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning filmmaker Dorothy Fadiman to their congregation at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Fadiman will screen excerpts from her documentaries “From the Back Alleys to the Supreme Court and Beyond” and “Stealing America: Vote by Vote.” The footage is 501(c)(3) compliant, and does not stress who or which party to vote for. The works aim to raise awareness about being alert and
responsible when voting. Seats are limited, and guests are asked to come early.
A discussion of Fadiman’s work on the issue of choice in America spanning the days of illegal and dangerous abortion to the struggle to maintain Roe v. Wade will follow the documentary presentation.
