Kornbaus lauded for 50 years with church reception

GIRARD

Family and friends celebrated at a 50th anniversary reception Sept. 15 at Northside Baptist Church for Timothy and Marjorie Kornbau of Girard. It was hosted by their daughter Karen Kornbau of Girard; and son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Sally Kornbau of Ashland, Ohio; a granddaughter Samantha Kornbau, and nephew Nathan Stokes.

Other children of the couple include Richard (Brenda) Kornbau of Girard and Ronald (Evelyn) Kornbau of Hubbard. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild complete the family.

The former Marjorie Hirst married Mr. Kornbau Sept. 12, 1962, at his mother’s home in Girard.

The couple are members of the church.

Mrs. Kornbau is a homemaker, and Mr. Kornbau retired in 1999. He was an Army veteran serving from 1961 through 1966 during the Vietnam War.
