WARREN

A 24-year-old Evaline Street Southeast man has been indicted on three counts of felonious assault and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is accused of hitting a 34-year-old city man with two gunshots and firing in the area of a woman and her 2-year-old daughter.

Rashawn P. Jordan will be arraigned on the charges at 11 a.m. next Friday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

If convicted, he could be sentenced to about 30 years in prison.

Police said they believe Jordan fired into a car trying to hit the man at 11:25 p.m. July 31 at Parkman Road and Pearl Street Southwest. The man fired back at Jordan, hitting him with a gunshot, police said.

The woman, 26, of Warren, was cut by flying glass from the gunfire and was treated at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

The child was not injured.
