Yannones mark 50th anniversary with family in Fla.


Richard and Mary Yannone of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by spending a week with their children and grandchildren in Siesta Key, Fla. Their children are Lisa (Paul) Rosati of Indialantic, Fla.; Anthony (Christine) Yannone of Columbus; Daniel (Neisha Zahn) Yannone of the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Michele (Ryan) Nespeca of Chattanooga, Tenn. Six grandchildren round out the family.

The former Mary Argenziano and Mr. Yannone were married Aug. 4, 1962, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville. The couple are members of St. Charles Church in Boardman. Mr. Yannone served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960, then attended Youngstown State University and graduated with a master’s degree in business management. He worked for East Ohio Gas for 27 years and retired in 1995 as sales manager. He is a member of Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley and was its president in 2003.

Mrs. Yannone graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1961 and retired in 2000. She works at Humility of Mary Health Partners as a registered nurse in endoscopy. A picnic luau took place Aug. 5 at Knoll Run Golf Course in Lowellville, and a trip to Italy in October will round out the festivities for the couple.
