Eighteen lucky students from Poland Union Elementary School got to take a limo ride to Golden Coral in Boardman on Nov. 15.

These children earned the privilege for raising the most money in the school for a PTO fundraiser.

“The children will ride to the Golden Coral where the PTO fundraiser committee will thank them for all the hard work they put into this,” said Poland Union Principal Mike Masucci.

Masucci, as well as several other teachers and parents, accompanied the children on the trip to lunch. Before departure, Masucci reminded each child that although they had worked hard and earned a treat, their best behavior would be expected while they were out to lunch. Each child was a representative of the hard work of the Poland schools.

“Every child in this school worked hard to raise the money for the PTO,” Masucci said.

This fundraiser gained more than $20,000 in funds for the Poland PTO.
