A 29-year-old Struthers man appeared Thursday night in Mahoning County Area Court on several felony charges stemming from a theft that led to a chase involving several local police departments.

Ronny Daviduk is charged with failure to comply, obstructing official business, receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools, all felonies.

Daviduk is suspected of attempting to steal a television Wednesday from the English Pub’s outdoor patio. When the suspect’s description was broadcast by dispatchers about 4 p.m. that day, a Boardman police officer saw Daviduk driving on Midlothian Boulevard, according to reports.

Daviduk also is suspected of stealing another outdoor television at the same pub within the last week, records show.

When police tried to stop Daviduk, he drove into Youngstown’s South Side and then Mill Creek Park before fleeing the car on foot into a ravine near East Newport Drive, reports stated. Youngstown and Mill Creek MetroParks police responded.

Daviduk was found on a back porch of a house on Kiwatha Road and was missing a shoe, police said.

The car he was driving was found to be stolen out of Austintown, police said.

Daviduk also faces charges in Youngstown Municipal Court for failure to comply, obstructing official business, receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools, and operating a vehicle in a willful or wanton disregard relating to the chase.
