1987: Arrest warrants are issued for two men and a 17-year-old boy in connection with the brutal slaying of Kevin Burks, 25, of Garfield Street, whose body was found in a wooded area near Steubenville.

1962: During a meeting in Washington, D.C., Attorney General Robert Kennedy tells Youngstown Mayor Harry Savasten that the Justice Department is doing everything in its power to solve the Cavallaro bombing. Kennedy reports receiving letters and telegrams from Youngstown area residents expressing anger and asking for federal help in cracking down on organized crime.
