Filmmakers plan video on teen drunken driving

WARREN

Laythrom Media, independent filmmakers who have been filming two movies in the past year at an abandoned Air Force radar installation off state Route 7 in Brookfield, are planning to create a teen drunken-driving video.

The video, to be distributed to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Students Against Destructive Decisions and schools, will be filmed off Bedford Road in Brookfield.

The video will be filmed this winter and released in the spring.

It will be titled “With the Turn of the Key” and will be directed toward students age 16 to 21.

“We have extremely strong feelings on this subject matter,” said Matt Atkins, director of Laythrom Media, adding that the individuals within Laythrom “have had at least one run-in with a drunk driver,” and most have involved young drivers.
