ACTION to host 'Failure is Not an Option' Thursday

The education task force of ACTION will host a meeting on “Failure is Not an Option“ from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, 309 N. Park Ave., where the Rev. Rick Oaks is lead pastor.

Topics will be curriculum, policy and safety by Warren schools Superintendent Michael Notar; third-grade reading by Melissa Watson; and A-plus though I grading by Dontae Capers.

The Rev. Dwayne Heard of Youngstown is president of Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing our Neighborhoods, and Rose Carter is executive director.
