AUCTIONS

VFW Ladies Auxiliary York Drexler Post 5532 will sponsor a Christmas auction Saturday at the Washingtonville VFW, 575 S. County Line Road. Doors will open at 3 p.m., and the auction will begin at 5. Items to be auctioned include brand-name toys, TV-advertised items, tools, gifts, collectibles, Christmas decorations, wrapping paper and team sporting goods. Door prizes and a concession stand will be available.

CRAFT SHOWS

The A.R.T.S. Club will have a holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Mohawk High School, 385 Mohawk School Road, Bessemer, Pa. Vendors are needed. Each will receive an 8-foot table and chair for $50. Student clubs and vendors will sell their handmade items, gifts, decorations, stocking stuffers and baked goods. Holiday instrumental music and carolers will entertain. Lunch will be available in the cafeteria. Find information on the school’s home page. Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, Pa., will host a craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It will include a bake sale, rummage sale and door prizes, and vendors will sell Christmas decorations, toys, jewelry and household items. A lunch of homemade soups, pies and sandwiches will be offered, and soup will be available to buy by the quart. Take items for the Helping Hands Food Pantry to earn an extra ticket for door prizes. Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten will present its 24th Annual Once Upon a Christmas Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road, Canfield. Admission is free, and parking is available. There will be over 100 vendors with holiday crafts and gift items. Homemade holiday baked goods and candy also will be available. Raffle items will include a treasure chest filled with items for the whole family, electronic gadgets and themed baskets, and there also will be a 50-50 raffle. Tickets are available at the school or the day of the show. Winners will be drawn at the conclusion. Snacks will be offered beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten. Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host an antique, holiday and jewelry sale from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission for Friday will be $5; Saturday and Sunday will be free. Donations are needed and can be dropped off at the shelter until 2 p.m. today.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Beatitude House will benefit from Christmas at the Lake, a fundraiser planned for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland. This event for the family includes brunch (featuring a kid-size buffet), activities and entertainment by the local children’s group Hey Kids! Gifts will be available for auction and for purchase. Proceeds will benefit Beatitude House, which serves homeless women and children by providing homes, educational opportunities and other support. Sponsorships are available at various levels, and opportunities for businesses or organizations to be founding sponsors. Sponsors will enjoy promotions and benefits. TRIPS

Trumbull County Travel Club is sponsoring a trip Dec. 4 to historic Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, Pa. The motor coach will depart at 10 a.m. from K-Mart in Niles and at 10:15 from Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. Seats are $75 per person.
