The Western Reserve Association of Health Underwriters will present a program about workers’ compensation Dec. 14. This presentation is approved for one Continuing Education credit.

Today’s challenging economic climate has made it imperative for employers to efficiently manage their workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation programs.

The high unemployment rate and recent workers’ compensation program changes can have a direct impact on employers’ premiums.

This continuing education program will focus on what an insurance agent needs to know in order to be a resource for their clients so they can obtain the help they need to manage costs.

The workshop will start at 8 a.m. at The Fifth Season, 1400 Niles-Canfield Road, Mineral Ridge.

Admission is free for association members and $35 for nonmembers. Reservations must be made by Dec. 10 by calling 330-273-5756 or by email at Jessica@jmbsohio.com.

Donations for Sandy victims

youngstown

Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors donated $1,000 to help Hurricane Sandy victims

The association seeks to help during times of need, and Hurricane Sandy is one of those occasions.

For more than 11 years, the Realtors Relief Foundation has been dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters.

The foundation works with state Realtor associations in affected areas to distribute funds as quickly as possible to those in need.

As the National Association of Realtors covers all the administrative costs of the fund, all money donated by the foundation will directly benefit disaster victims.
