Museum holiday open house set

The Ward-Thomas Museum, 503 Brown St., has decorated all the rooms for the holiday season.

The Christmas tree is trimmed, and a private display of Santa’s is in the dining room.

The First Ladies gowns are on display throughout the museum, with all the Ohio First Ladies on display in the library.

An 1885 Ahlstrom grand square piano was donated to the museum by Mr. & Mrs. Curtis Behner.

The rosewood piano will be played by Margaret Ellis during an open house event from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 2.

Refreshments will be served in the Westenfield Room after a tour.

Cost is $5 with children under 12 free if accompanied by adults.

The Ward-Thomas Museum was built 150 years ago and contains 14 rooms full of displays with all rooms open to the public.
