With “Liz & Dick,” the Lindsay Lohan biopic of Elizabeth Taylor, airing Sunday

With “Liz & Dick,” the Lindsay Lohan biopic of Elizabeth Taylor, airing Sunday (Lifetime at 9 p.m.), it’s appropriate to look at some of La Liz’s work on TV:

v “Malice in Wonderland” (1985): In this TV movie about the rivalry between legendary gossip columnists Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper, Taylor played Parsons. (Jane Alexander was Hopper.)

v “North and South” (1985): In this star-stuffed Civil War miniseries, she played Madam Conti, the proprietor of a bordello.

v “Poker Alice” (1987): Taylor starred in the title role of this movie, playing a Boston-bred woman of means who ended up running a gambling hall and bordello (yes, again!) in the Old West of the 1870s.

v “The Simpsons” (1992): In one of the series’ most memorable episodes, Taylor voiced baby Maggie as she uttered her first word: “Daddy!”

v “These Old Broads” (2001): In her final TV movie, Taylor played a show-biz agent who attempts to reunite a once-famous trio of actresses (Debbie Reynolds, Shirley MacLaine, Joan Collins). (Reynolds’ daughter, Carrie Fisher, wrote the screenplay.)
