Villa Maria Nativity exhibit is 2 weekends

The Sisters of the Humility of Mary will host the seventh annual Nativity display with more than 300 Nativities from personal, family and community collections.

The display will be from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 and 8 and 9 at Villa Maria Conference Center.

Musical entertainment will be featured along with the tour of the display. Musical artists include Wade Raridon Singers, Seraphim Chorus and Kirk Kupensky playing the Celtic harp. Local choirs include St. Camillus Choir, St. James Choir, New Bedford Presbyterian Choir and Shenango High School Choir.

A full-course roast-beef dinner will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Prices for the roast beef dinner tickets are $9.75 for a large and $5.75 for a small.

A full-course spaghetti dinner will be from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 9. The cost is $6.25 for a large and $4.75 for a small.

Tickets for both dinners are available in advance. Children younger than 7 eat free. Takeout is also available.

To purchase tickets in advance send check or money order to VMCC, P.O. Box 906, Villa Maria, PA 16155. Specify number of tickets and size of dinner and include phone number. Tickets will be available at the door to the dining room on the day of the dinner. Request by mail accepted up to one week prior to each dinner.

The Villa Shoppe will offer Nativity sets, one-of-a-kind Fair Trade items and unique gifts from around the world. The shop has Fair Trade nativities from Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Vietnam, Palestine, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, El Salvador, Argentina, Cambodia, India and the Philippines.

The Villa Farm also will sell home-grown poinsettias and Christmas swags.

The Nativity display is open to the public and there is no admittance fee.

Free-will offerings will be accepted. Light refreshments will be served. No registration is required.
