Divers continue search in Mosquito Lake for missing hunter

Divers and lake-rescue crews from the Bazetta Township Fire Department were continuing their search in Mosquito Lake this afternoon for a missing hunter.

According to preliminary reports, three duck hunters were in a boat in a portion of the Lake near West Main Street when their vessel started taking in water and began to sink.

A nearby hunter heard the men’s screams about 6:30 a.m. and contacted rescue crews, according to Trumbull County 911 dispatch.

Rescue crews pulled out two of the hunters early this morning, and they were transported to a hospital for treatment.

As of 1 p.m., divers and rescue crews continued their search in the lake for the third hunter.
