Victoria Kocanjer v Cory Cercone


Victoria Lynn Kocanjer of Youngstown and Cory David Cercone of Austintown were united in marriage June 23 at St. Columba Cathedral. The 1 p.m. ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. John Keehner, and a reception took place at The Embassy in Struthers. The bride is the daughter of William and Lori Kocanjer of Youngstown. Parents of the groom are David and Connie Cercone of Austintown.

The bride wore a white strapless ball gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline detailed with beaded embroidery, a beaded bodice and a flared organza skirt extending to a cathedral train. Her fingertip veil was edged with beading. Bridal attendants, wearing jade gowns, were Monique Irwin as maid of honor and bridesmaids Andrea Marshall, cousin of the groom; Holly Garzanich; and Brie Schreiber. Sydney Pavlik, a cousin of the bride, and Laila Kulisz, a niece of the groom, were flower girls.

Eric Chianese performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Joe and Andy Cercone, cousins of the groom, and Bobby Workman. Kelly Pavlik, a cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride is pursuing her doctorate at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy. The groom received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Youngstown State University and is a structural engineer and project manager for Simmer’s Crane Design & Services of Salem. After a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple are making their home in Erie, Pa.
