The Pavilion at the Rose Garden in Mill Creek Park was the setting May 5 as Krizza Mendiola and William Gains, both of Westland, Mich., exchanged wedding vows.

Judge Diane Vettori officiated at the noon ceremony, and a reception followed at the Blue Wolfe Restaurant, Boardman.

The parents of the bride are Vivian and Jeffrey Mendiola of the Philippines. Parents of the groom are Diane and Randy Gains of Youngstown.

The bride wore a strapless A-line gown adorned with beads and white flowers.

The bride’s mother was matron of honor. The bride’s daughter, Vivienne Mendiola, was flower girl.

The attendants wore red gowns.

Paul Gains, the groom’s brother, performed the duties of best man.

The bride attended Bulacan State University and majored in broadcasting.

The groom graduated magna cum laude with a a degree in computer science from Youngstown State University. He is a process control engineer for Severstal North America, Dearborn, Mich.

After a wedding trip to Cuyahoga Falls, the couple reside in Westland.
