Man apprehended in connection with Newton Falls robbery

NEWTON FALLS

Newton Falls Police Chief John Kuivila says police apprehended Jacob A. Bennett, 21, this morning in connection with the 5:32 a.m. Tuesday robbery of Convenient Food Mart, 321 South Milton Blvd.

Earlier today, Kuivila asked for the public’s help in locating Bennett to question him in the case. The police department released a photo of Bennett and a description.

Police say a male wearing a black hoody with a white bandana over his face and black gloves demanded money from the store and was armed with two knives.

He fled on foot toward Superior Street, where he entered an unknown vehicle and left the scene, police said.
