A tree grows in Canfield

The Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown donated an American elm tree to Canfield. Above, from left, John Schinker, Bob Minkler, Nancy Brundage, Mark Eddy and Nick Rosian water the newly planted tree Tuesday on Canfield Village Green. Lynn Hoffmann, at right, delivers a speech before the tree’s planting in front of Canfield officials and residents. The Men’s Garden Club also has donated American elms to Liberty Township Cemetery and parks in Boardman, Austintown and Sharon. Canfield is celebrating its 31st year of distinction as a Tree City USA.
