A checklist of local, state and federal institutions and local businesses closed various days. Residents of communities not listed should check their governmental office schedules.

City offices: Youngstown and Salem, closed Thursday; Warren, Niles, New Castle, Sharon, and Newton Falls Municipal Court, closed Thursday and Friday.

County offices: Mahoning and Columbiana, closed Thursday; Trumbull, Mercer, Lawrence, closed Thursday and Friday.

State and federal offices: Closed Thursday.

Schools: Youngstown, Salem, and Niles, closed Wednesday through Friday; Warren and Youngstown Diocese, closed Thursday and Friday; Sharon, closed Thursday through Monday; New Castle, closed Wednesday through Monday.

Universities: Youngstown State and Kent State Trumbull Campus, closed Thursday and Friday.

Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA): Closed Thursday; regular schedule Friday.

Public libraries: Youngstown-Mahoning County, Warren-Trumbull, Hubbard Public Library, Newton Falls Public Library, and McKinley Memorial Library, Niles, closed Thursday; Kinsman Free Public Library, closed Thursday through Saturday; Girard Free Library, closed Wednesday through Monday; Bristol Public Library, Bristolville, closed Thursday and Friday.

Stock market: Stifel Nicolaus, closed Thursday.

Banks: Chase Bank, Charter One, Cortland Banks, Farmers National Bank, First National Bank, First Place Bank in Warren, Home Federal Savings & Loan in Niles, Home Savings & Loan, Huntington Bank in Austintown, Key Bank, PNC Ohio, PNC Pennsylvania, all closed Thursday.

Trash collection: Allison Brothers Inc., Allied Waste, Warren City Environmental Services, Ohio Valley Waste, Waste Management, Waste-Tech Services, Boardman, closed Thursday; service delayed one day.
