NEW MIDDLETOWN

Zion Lutheran Church was the setting of the Sept. 15 exchange of vows of Lisa Bernat and Michael Firmstone, both of New Middeltown. The Rev. Larry Klinker officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding ceremony.

A reception followed at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, Niles.

Parents of the couple are Andrew and Peggy Bernat of Youngstown and Arla and Joy Firmstone of Pulaski, Pa.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, wore an ivory over the shoulder gown with a sweetheart neckline and a fitted ruched bodice. Beading accented the waist and shoulder. A drape of chiffon flowed from the shoulder gracing a semi-chapel train.

Donna Fisher was the matron of honor. She wore a black with white pearl gown.

Joseph Haffner performed the duties of best man. Ushers were David Bernat, the bride’s brother, and Mike Firmstone Jr., the groom’s son.

The bride is an accounts payable coordinator for City of Youngstown.

The groom retired as a strand operator for R&G Steel, Warren.

After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple reside in New Middletown.
