Choirs to perform at courthouse

MERCER, pa.

The Mercer County Board of Commissioners invites the public to attend the annual Christmas concert series performed by local middle and high school students.

The performances are about 25 minutes long and will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Mercer County Courthouse Rotunda. Seating is available. Here is the schedule: Nov. 29: Grove City High School. Nov. 30: Sharpsville High School. Dec. 7: Sharon High School, “Tiger Kittens and Men of Note.” Dec. 10: Farrell High School. Dec. 11: West Middlesex (Oakview Middle School). Dec. 12: Hickory High School, Hickory, Chamber Singers and the Concert Choir. Dec. 13: Commodore Perry High School. Science camps for kids at Carnegie

PITTSBURGH

Carnegie Science Center is offering holiday camps for children with a variety of science topics.

Science Fun Days for age 4 to 10 will be Friday and next Monday. Campers can play in the exhibits, see a live theater show or laser show, participate in a one-hour workshop, plus see an Omnimax movie.

Full-day camps (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will be offered Dec. 26, 27, 28 and 31 for age 6 to 10. The cost is $40. Half-day camps are available for age 4 and 5. The cost is $23.
