Nona’s Family Closet has moved to Pinetree Square Plaza in Niles at 36 Youngstown-Warren Road.

The new location was necessary due to increased volume of goods and expanding sales. The new location includes the addition of furniture and home items. The store’s hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Roofers class

The Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Program will accept applications for a class starting Nov. 26 through Nov. 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Basic qualifications include being 18 years of age, a high school graduate or equivalent, physically capable of performing the work and be able to pass a drug screen and physical. Copies of the following items must be brought to apply; transcript of high school grades or GED test scores, military certificate of completion if applicable and a birth certificate or driver’s license.

Applications will be accepted at the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania at 1372 Youngstown- Kingsville Road SE.

Lake Vista of Cortland expanded its rehabilitation center to provide guests with comprehensive therapies. Lake Vista of Cortland’s new 19-bed rehab center offers private rooms that feature private bathrooms, flat-screen televisions and views.

The Trumbull Career and Technical Center is offering part-time computer classes Nov. 26 and 27. The courses are introduction to computer basics, Microsoft Powerpoint, introduction to Excel, digital camera, QuickBooks Pro and introduction to Word.

The Trumbull Career and Technical Center is offering a 720-hour computer technology program for potential full-time students. Included in the cost of the program is an iPad 2, along with Network+, Security+ and MOS Certification exam fees.

Some of the course highlights include: Microsoft Office 2010 through the advanced level and basic networking and programming.
