Geauga-Trumbull district's “Let Us Catch You Recycling Campaign” today

To celebrate America Recycles Day today, the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will have its annual “Let Us Catch You Recycling Campaign.”

If a resident is caught by district staff recycling at any of the 46 drop-off sites, they could win a tote bag full of recycled products and be entered to win stainless-steel kitchen recycling bins. “This is one way we are thanking our residents who are doing their part to reduce waste” said Holly Carine, educator for the district. “So far this year our recycling drop-off program has diverted over 3,000 tons of materials from landfills.”

All recycling sites are open seven days a week and take plastic bottles, bags and containers, glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans and newspapers, magazines and office papers. Most sites now have separate cardboard recycling bins.
