Shooting sends 1 person to hospital

NEW CASTLE, PA.

An Monday afternoon shooting in the city sent at least one person to the hospital.

According to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, the shooting occurred after 1 p.m. at the West View Terrace Apartments on Sankey Street.

Police got a call from a woman who said she heard a gunshot and then saw a person running.

When authorities arrived they found a victim with a gunshot wound.

There are no suspects, and police continue their investigation today.
