Division IV, Region 13

Matchup: Brookfield (11-0) at Akron Manchester (8-3)

When: Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Tiger Stadium in Twinsburg.

Notes: As Brookfield continues its fourth postseason appearance (1978, 1994, 2011), the Warriors climbed another notch above .500 with last week’s Edgewood win lifting their playoff record to 4-2. Combined with last year’s 9-2 record when Brookfield was knocked out in the first round by eventual D-IV state champ Creston Norwayne, 42-7, the Warriors own a 20-2 record over the last two seasons. The Manchester Panthers are in the playoffs for a 20th time. The school’s postseason record is 12-19.

Matchup: Youngstown Christian (8-2) vs. Malvern (10-1)

Where: Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s Green Street Stadium

When: Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Notes: Youngstown Christian is in the playoffs for a second straight year, while Malvern is making it for the sixth straight. The Hornets are averaging 33.2 compared to 34. 2 by the Eagles.
