Open house for new Mercer Memorial Day 500 organizers

MERCER, PA.

Mark and Linda Brown are retiring as organizers of the Mercer Memorial Day 500, a Memorial Day observance, and are hosting a community open house for the new organizers, Ed and Sharon Dittrich, on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pizza Joe’s, 116 East Venango St.

Dittriches own and operate Muscle Products in Jackson Center.

The Browns organized the first Mercer Memorial Day 500 in 2003.
