Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church was the setting of the 3:30 p.m. May 19 exchange of vows by Kara Opritza of Knoxville, Tenn., and Corey Miller of Knoxville. The Very Rev. James Barkett officiated.

A reception at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman followed the ceremony.

The parents of the bride are Dennis and Connie Opritza of Canfield, and the parents of the groom are Chuck and Cherie Miller of Sandusky.

The bride wore a simple V-neckline diamond-white gown with straps, embellished with crystals and an A-line skirt with pickups. Her medium-length veil was trimmed with lace.

The maid of honor was Asha Kumar. Bridesmaids were Erika Opritza, the bride’s sister-in-law; Diana Musial, the bride’s cousin; and Kaleah Horton, the groom’s cousin. The bride’s nieces, Olivia, Natalie and Sophia Opritza, were flower girls. The attendants wore dark plum-colored gowns.

The groom’s brother, Chris Miller, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jason Opritza, the bride’s brother; Ian Leister and Jeff Dugai.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Dayton. She is a regulatory specialist for The Wercs, Ltd., Knoxvillle.

Her husband received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in social science administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is a federal probation officer for the U.S. District Court in Knoxville.

After a wedding trip to Sandals Montego Bay Jamaica Resort, the couple reside in Knoxville.
