Man dies on Federal Street tonight

YOUNGSTOWN

Police and the Mahoning County Coroner are investigating the death of a man on Federal Street.

Police had taped off a pickup truck across the street from the DeYor Center tonight.

Coroner’s investigator Courtney Bouchie said the 911 call came in at 8:54 tonight. She would not identify the man or give his age, adding that more information will be available Friday.

She said it was not possible at the scene to tell if the man died of natural causes.

A friend of the man’s said he had heart problems. Another man, who called 911, said the victim was “blue and gagging.”
