Facebook helps Hubbard cops catch suspect
HUBBARD
Hubbard Township police say their Facebook page helped them catch two burglars.
They arrested Richard R. Couturiaux, 29, of North Main Street in Hubbard, and Scott T. Herrmann, 30, of Lockwood Boulevard in Youngstown on May 24.
Police said they were dispatched to a vacant house on Lewis Seifert Road after a neighbor reported a loud crash and saw two suspicious men at the house.
Herrmann was taken into custody at the house. Police chased Couturiaux through the woods, and he later got into a car driven by a relative.
Police caught him. Both men are charged with breaking and entering.
Police said that they posted a Facebook status May 22 asking neighbors to pay attention to the increAsing number of vacant homes in the area.
The neighbor who reported the burglars is a Facebook friend.
