The Wean Foundation is moving to new site

The Raymond John Wean Foundation will move today into its new location at 147 W. Market St. in Warren.

The new site is about a block away from the foundation’s former offices in the Huntington Bank Building at Market Street and Main Avenue.

The new headquarters will more than triple the Wean Foundation’s old office space. The two- story, Civil War-era building has undergone a year-long, sensitive, historic restoration by the Chesler Group Inc.

“This is more than a change of address; it’s what we hope will be an expansion of the Wean Foundation’s impact, not only on downtown Warren, but across the Mahoning Valley,” said Gordon B. Wean, chairman of the Wean Foundation.

The Wean Foundation expects to be open Friday. A dedication and grand-opening celebration will be July 18, the expected completion date. For more information about the foundation, go to www.rjweanfdn.org.
