Summer enrichment program available in Warren schools
WARREN
A free, 6-week summer enrichment program through Inspiring Minds, a Warren nonprofit organization, will return to each of Warren’s K-8 schools this summer starting June 18.
It will run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for students entering 3rd through 8th grades.
The program includes continuing education, art, sports, community service, swimming lessons, field trips, daily meals and transportation options.
“Most students lose about two months of grade-level equivalency in mathematics over the summer months and many students also lose more than two months in reading achievement,” said Deryck Toles, Warren native and founder of Inspiring Minds. “Summer learning loss is something we, as a community, can and will prevent.”
