Police seek Boardman woman missing for a week

Police are searching for a 47-year-old township woman who suffers from bipolar disorder and disappeared a week ago.

Elizabeth A. Cassidy, of 146 Wildwood Drive, left for an appointment May 22 and hasn’t been back since, the woman’s mother told police on Monday.

Her mother said Cassidy’s car broke down in the area of state Route 164 and 165 in Beaver Township, police said.

Cassidy called her sister and when her sister arrived, Cassidy reportedly had a psychotic episode that caused her sister to leave, according to reports.

D&D Towing was called to assist the Cassidy and when the company was unable to process her AAA request, the towing company gave Cassidy a ride to the Pilot station on Route 7 in Beaver Township and left her car, with her purse and cell phone inside it, at the Beaver Township government center.

Cassidy’s mother said her daughter is bipolar, suffers from psychotic episodes and possibly is suicidal, police said.

Police forced open an upstairs door at Cassidy’s Wildwood Drive residence, but found no sign of her.

Cassidy is described as white with fair complexion, 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing 155 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. She was last seen in a t-shirt, shorts and sandals.
