The Kent Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who was struck and killed by a train on CSX Railroad tracks at 12:39 a.m. Sunday about a mile north of Middlebury Road near a hike and bike trail bridge. The victim is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, thin to medium build, with long dark hair and brown eyes, wearing a black T-Shirt, blue jeans and Converse brand black canvas shoes. The approximate age of the victim was not provided in the news release. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 330-673-7732.

Multiple charges

MERCER, Pa.

A 34-year-old Mercer man has been placed in the Mercer County jail on multiple charges after he allegedly pointed a loaded rifle at another Mercer man during an altercation on North Perry Highway in Coolspring Township. Ralph Edward Custer was jailed on charges of aggravated and simple assault, making terroristic threats, reckless endangering, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. A witness wrested the weapon from Custer when he pointed it at the victim Tuesday evening, Pennsylvania State Police said.
