Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, Closed for Memorial Day; Tuesday, Vets Helping Vets and bingo at 10 a.m., bridge club at 10:30, amateur radio class at noon, Kitchen Krew (take a bag lunch) at 1 p.m., beginner computer class at 3, and intermediate computer class at 4; Wednesday, open exercise at 9 a.m., bingo at 10, and movie matinee, “We Bought a Zoo,” at 1 p.m.; Thursday, yoga and open exercise at 9:30, bingo at 10, beginning crochet at 10:30, Cards and Dogs at 11:30 a.m., monthly birthday party, 50-50 drawing and Austintown Senior Players at noon; Friday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, Wii Wheel of Fortune and Wii Price is Right at noon. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. June 5 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors, such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Trumbull County Senior Court AARP Driver’s Safety Program is offering a review of driving skills, techniques and strategies to help seniors adjust to physical changes that may affect their driving ability. A certified instructor will conduct the class, and the cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Refreshments and snacks will be served. The next class will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 20 at the Liberty Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road. Call 330-675-2616 to reserve your spot.
