Ryan, Sammarone to formally open 82-unit YMHA apartments Tuesday

YOUNGSTOWN

A ribbon-cutting and open house will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 263 DuPont St. for the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority’s newly-renovated, 82-unit Brier Hill Annex apartment community. U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan and Mayor Charles Sammarone will be among the speakers. The first residents moved May 17 into the complex, which had been closed for a year for the $10 million renovation designed to turn the complex into a green, energy-efficient community.
