Family dinner marks 60th for the Merediths

A family dinner May 26 at the Youngstown Club honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meredith of Poland for their 60th wedding anniversary.

The former Ruth Knollman and Mr. Meredith were married May 17, 1952, at St. Anne Church in New Castle, Ind.

Hosting the celebration were the honorees’ daughters and sons-in-law, Julia and Michael Ginty of Fishers, Ind.; Kathleen Meredith of Malvern, Pa.; and Linda and Richard Pacenta of Hudson, Ohio.

Mr. Meredith retired in 1989 from Conrail, where he worked for 43 years in the sales department. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

Mr. and Mrs. Meredith are members of Holy Family Church, where they volunteer on various committees. Mrs. Meredith also belongs to a card club, and her husband is an usher and in bowling and golf leagues.

The family includes five grandchildren.
