A summary of recent criminal activity in Liberty, Girard and Hubbard:

LIBERTY

May 18

Vandalism: A Michigan Boulevard man noticed someone had poured oil into his pond and did $3,000 in damage.

Criminal damaging: Summer E. Jackson, 26, of 219 Park Ave., Youngstown, faced a criminal- damaging charge after a Frederick Street woman alleged Jackson had tossed a brick through a window during an argument between them.

Theft: Someone in the 6400 block of Sodom-Hutchings Road cut and stole roughly 650 feet of copper wiring worth $5,000.

May 19

Child endangerment: Police received a complaint that a 2-year-old child was left unattended in a vehicle in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue.

Theft: A Hubbard man reportedly left Youngstown Crab Co., 3917 Belmont Ave., without paying a $54 food bill.

Drugs: A traffic stop on Belmont Avenue resulted in misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and dangerous drugs filed against 31-year-old Erica Rahmer, 8055 Castlerock Drive, Warren. Rahmer had a shoebox containing a small bag of suspected marijuana and a bottle with nine pills and a torn label, a report showed.

Theft: A Northgate Road woman said a Youngstown man, 18, failed to return her $100 cellphone.

Arrest: Authorities responded to possible drug activity at an East Liberty Street motel, where they took into custody 29-year-old Jamaur D. Brown, 1024 Woodland St., Youngstown. He was wanted on a township warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court.

May 20

Weapon: Police responded to a vehicular accident off Belmont Avenue before charging Braeassia Prestley, 20, of 716 Fairgreen Ave., Youngstown, with carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon with a firearm and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle when, they said, a loaded .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun was found. Also arrested was 23-year-old Holli J. Robinson, 2700 Goleta Ave., Youngstown, on a felony warrant from Cuyahoga County.

Trespassing: A Pleasant Valley Road woman told police a 15-year-old boy was on her property despite “No trespassing” signs clearly posted.

Child endangerment: Officers got a report about a 2-year-old child walking alone near Belmont and Trumbull avenues. The caller said he returned the infant to her grandmother.

May 21

Assault: A Fairlawn Avenue woman reported a man with whom she had ended a relationship punched her face, causing a minor injury.

Possible fraud: A Church Hill-Hubbard Road woman told authorities her husband received a piece of correspondence with a phone number claiming the couple had unclaimed money coming from annuities, after which she provided his personal information over the phone. Police called the number but were unable to connect it with any legitimate company, a report said.

May 22

Robbery: Lillie E. Price, 50, of 117 E. Warren Ave., Youngstown, faced a robbery charge after $91 worth of groceries was stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave. Price, who also was wanted on warrants charging her with theft and obstructing official business, pushed her way past a store official who tried to detain her, a report said.

Harassment: A Tomilu Drive woman reported getting several such calls.

Theft: Someone stole about 360 feet of phone line valued at $2,000 near Logan Gate Road.

Harassment: A Trumbull Avenue man said a Boardman man made several threatening calls to him.

Identity theft: A Redfern Drive man discovered someone traveling through Ohio set up credit-card accounts in the accuser’s name and made unauthorized purchases.

May 23

Assault: A Wilson Avenue woman told police her jealous former boyfriend slapped and shoved her, though she was not injured.

GIRARD

May 20

Harassment: A Norwood Avenue man said he received threatening voice-mail messages.

May 21

Assault: A man alleged a female got out of a vehicle and struck the back of his head as he walked on Highland Avenue after having accused him of stealing from her.

Theft: A South Lorain Avenue woman said she saw a man remove an item from her porch.

Menacing: An East Liberty Street man alleged his father-in-law made threatening comments toward him.

Assault: A boy at Tod Park reported another boy punched the accuser’s face.

Recovered property: Around $365 was returned to the American Legion Post, 11 High St., after two trustees had reported the money stolen.

Fraud: An East Kline Street woman learned her stolen debit card was used to make 11 unauthorized purchases totaling about $414.

Theft: A Washington Avenue woman discovered an unauthorized $350 charge to her mother’s bank card.

May 23

Theft: Police charged Cody J. Jordan, 19, of 19 E. Second St., Niles, with stealing a $6 item from Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St. Jordan also was wanted on warrants, one each from Niles and Warren municipal courts.

Breaking and entering: Someone apparently kicked in a door to a building in the 300 block of Trumbull Avenue, though nothing appeared to be missing.

HUBBARD

May 18

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Van Ness Avenue resident reported a vehicle used without authorization.

Breaking and entering: Two break-ins were reported in the 2000 block of Lewis-Seifert Road.

May 19

Burglary: To a Stoneybrook Drive residence.

Breaking and entering: Took place at a Lewis-Seifert Road home.

Criminal mischief: Reported in the 6000 block of Lincoln Avenue.

May 21

Burglary: Occurred at a residence in the 3000 block of Woodbine Avenue.

May 22

Theft: Property was stolen from Thermo King, a business on Truck World Boulevard.
